Soon helps you make plans with people you know. This page explains what Soon collects, why, and how you stay in control. The short version: Soon uses the least it can, never sells your data, and never reads what your calendar events are.
Connecting Google Calendar is optional and separate from signing in. If you connect it, Soon reads only your free/busy times (whether you’re busy, never what the event is) to find times that work, and, if you leave it on, adds plans you book to your calendar. You can turn off writing or disconnect at any time from your Me page; disconnecting revokes Soon’s access. Soon’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Soon uses Anthropic’s Claude to read plan requests you type (like “dinner with the college crew next week”) and turn them into plan details. Venue details and photos come from Google Maps. These providers process data only to provide those features to Soon.
You can edit or delete anything Soon has learned, turn learning off, disconnect your calendar, or sign out at any time. To delete your account and its data, email privacy@howsoon.us.
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database with access restricted to Soon’s servers. Calendar access tokens are encrypted at rest.
